Chelsea FC have parted ways with head coach Liam Rosenior after less than four months in charge, following a disappointing run of results that culminated in a heavy defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.
The decision was confirmed in an official club statement on Tuesday, shortly after Chelsea’s 3-0 loss at the Amex Stadium. Goals from Brighton players sealed a convincing win, leaving the Blues struggling to keep pace in the Premier League standings.

Interim leadership will now be taken up by Calum McFarlane, who is tasked with stabilizing the squad as they prepare for a crucial FA Cup semi-final clash against Leeds United at Wembley Stadium this weekend.
Rosenior’s tenure saw mixed results, recording 11 wins, two draws, and 10 defeats in 23 matches. His dismissal follows a worrying run of five consecutive league losses without scoring, raising concerns about both attacking output and overall team cohesion.
The move comes despite recent remarks from Chelsea co-owner Behdad Eghbali, who had emphasized the club’s desire for managerial stability. The latest change highlights ongoing challenges within the club’s leadership structure as they seek long-term consistency.
