While on a tour in Nairobi Kenya, the President of the republic of Kenya while visiting residents at Baba Dogo slums was informed of what was happening just a few meters from where he was addressing the residents.
The head of state immediately Issued an order, ordering Police officers to leave immediately while issuing a firm warning to those involved.
While addressing members of the press and the public in general. President William Ruto ordered Police officers and investors who were working on fencing a football pitch in Baba Dogo to leave immediately. He claimed that the investor will have to take up the matter with him on the Said land if he has issues.

The pitch has been a center of attraction with police officers lobbying teargas a few days ago in an attempt to disperse residents who were not ready to let the playground be taken by the investors.

The grounds have been handed back to the community, offering a temporary reprieve amid the standoff.
