Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is currently in Butula, Busia County. Flanked by other opposition leaders, Gachagua stormed the town in a meeting the people rally that attracted thousands of people who turned out to listen to him.
Busia County is considered an Orange democratic Party stronghold. Raila Odinga for years has enjoyed the support of the community around the area, the area that is majorly composed of Teso people, Luhya and Luos.

Well, while there, Gachagua has sent a powerful message to President William Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza administration. Speaking to residents, Gachagua asked President William Ruto to be ready to leave the top seat in 2027.
According to him, Kenyans across the country are tired of his leadership which is filled with corruption, poor leadership, and abuse of office among others.
” I want to send this message to President William Ruto and his people. I was in Kakamega County yesterday, they assured me that it is one term. They asked me to ask you here in Busia if you’re also calling him one term. Are you ready to send him home immediately?” Asked Gachagua’s.
