Enough Is Enough! Ruto Sends A Warning To Protesters, Reveals His Next Action
Speaking in Bomet county after attending a church service together with other leaders allied to Kenya Kwanza. President William Ruto has send a warning to youths who have been hitting the streets protesting bad governance.
Ruto has claimed that anarchists have taken over the protests and are now trying to overthrow his administration instead of choosing a dialogue route which can of great help to them.
The head of state accused youths of running away from him everytime he tries to approach them with offers. He mentioned that when he joined them on the X platform for engagement, they chose to run away and continue with protests that are destroying the economy of the country.
” I called them for engagement on X. They decided to Run away. They said finance bill was bad, I dropped it but still they are protesting and looting businesses. Going forward I am going to protect the country at any cost” said William Ruto.
Earlier on, Ruto and other officials from his administration pointed fingers at foreign powers alleging that they were financing protesters with an aim of causing anarchy.
Ford Foundation which was one of those mentioned, issued a statement distancing themselves from the ide of funding protests. They advised the government to check on their website how their money is shared with organizations.
