Environment Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has taken to his X account with a message to Kenyans after Kingi declaration on the Gachagua case. According to senate speaker Amason Kingi, the courts cannot stop impeachment motion once it is tabled before them.
He maintained that despite numerous attempts to gag the senate against discussing the motion, it is an independent house hence not subjected to court on the motion.
Aden Duale has shared his views on the impeachment motion claiming that the court set the record straight on it’s Interference in senate maters. According to him, in governor Wambora impeachment, the court declared it has no mandate to stop senate maters once tabled.

“Senate Speaker in today ruling on the Impeachment of the Governor of KERICHO has confirmed the Supreme Court Ruling on Wambora case .The principle of Separation of powers is a cornerstone of our 2010 constitution . The Apex court ruled that Courts lack jurisdiction to interfere with matters under Parliament’s consideration pursuant to the doctrine of separation of powers.” Wrote Aden Duale.
