Gospel musician Phyllis Mbuthia has returned to Kenya following her reported arrest and subsequent deportation from Seattle, United States, over alleged improper travel documentation.
The incident has sparked widespread concern among her fans and the gospel music fraternity, with many seeking clarity on the circumstances surrounding her detention.
According to credible sources, Mbuthia was reportedly arrested on Saturday night shortly after arriving in Seattle, where she was scheduled to minister during a crossover gospel event on Thursday, 31st.
Initial reports indicated that the artist was taken into custody under unclear circumstances, with uncertainty over whether U.S. Immigration authorities or Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) were involved.
For at least three days following her reported arrest, Mbuthia was said to be held without any official communication from U.S. authorities explaining the reasons for her detention.

The lack of information fueled speculation and anxiety among her supporters both in Kenya and abroad.
Sources have now confirmed that the gospel musician was deported back to Kenya, with the aircraft carrying her landing at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) this evening.
It is alleged that the deportation was linked to issues with her travel or performance documentation, although the exact nature of the irregularities has not been disclosed.
Mbuthia had reportedly traveled to the United States for a gospel ministry tour that included several engagements, among them the anticipated Seattle crossover performance, which did not take place.
As of now, neither Phyllis Mbuthia nor her management team has released an official statement addressing the arrest, detention, or deportation.
Kenyan and U.S. authorities are also yet to issue formal clarification on the matter, leaving many questions unanswered as fans await further details.
