The former Orange democratic Party leader Honorable Raila Odinga was laid to rest at his home in Bondo, Siaya County on October 19, 2025.
His burial was attended by the top government officials and Kenyans across the country. He was eulogized as a man who stood for Peace, Unity and liberty. The father of the second liberation.
Well, details have emerged of how Odinga tried to head to block Journalists from snooping around his health status.

Speaking to citizen TV daily break show, Orange democratic Party Deputy Party leader Osotsi claimed that, just one week before Odinga traveled to India for treatment. A determined Journalist approached them with a report on Raila’s Health. The reporter was planning to run a headline in Media that Raila Odinga was critically ill.
After hearing this, the late Odinga asked those people he was having a meeting with to move at the entrance of the Hotel and take a photo. The photo was circulated online dismissing the claims that he was critically ill. Unfortunately, he lost his life while seeking further management in India.
Odinga allegedly collapsed while in India. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but unfortunately, despite all the resuscitation done, they failed to revive him. He was laid to rest at his rural home in Bondo, Siaya County. May his soul rest in eternal Peace.
