The Democracy For Citizens Party (DCP), led by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and his Deputy Cleophas Wakhungu Malalah, is rapidly gaining political traction across the Western region, thanks to the tireless efforts of its Deputy Party leader, Cleophas Wakhungu Malalah.
Over the weekend, Malalah led a high-energy DCP delegation to Mundaha area in Kisa East Ward, Khwisero Constituency, where thousands of residents turned up to welcome the team in a show of growing support for the young party.
The visit, which was part of the DCP’s grassroots mobilization tour, centered on rallying support for Hon. Dickson Aduda Okwiri, the party’s candidate for the Kisa East Ward seat.

The event drew massive crowds, painting the area in DCP’s signature colors as residents chanted slogans of change and renewal.
Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Malalah reaffirmed DCP’s commitment to building a people-centered political movement that prioritizes development, transparency, and youth empowerment.

He described Okwiri as a symbol of fresh and progressive leadership, perfectly aligned with DCP’s agenda of transforming the country’s leadership landscape.
Kenyans are yearning for a new political dawn—one that listens to the people and delivers tangible change. DCP is that movement, and Dickson Okwiri represents that promise for Kisa East,” said Malalah.
Okwiri, who has quickly become a popular figure in the ward, vowed to champion inclusive leadership, improve local infrastructure, and empower small-scale farmers and traders if elected.
He thanked residents for their overwhelming support and assured them that his leadership would focus on service delivery and integrity.
This is not about empty politics. It’s about real change—about bringing development closer to our people. With your support, we shall transform Kisa East,” Okwiri declared amid cheers from the crowd.
Malalah also emphasized that despite being only four months old, DCP had already achieved national recognition, challenging traditional political giants in Kenya’s electoral landscape.

He revealed that the party’s growing presence in the Western region is part of a larger strategy to consolidate national unity and prepare for the 2027 general elections, where DCP intends to field a presidential candidate.
“We are not here just to participate; we are here to win. DCP will be on the ballot in 2027, and we are confident that with the people’s trust, we will form the next government,” Malalah asserted.
Residents praised Malalah’s leadership style and the DCP’s message of transformation, describing it as a refreshing break from politics of division and corruption.
As the DCP convoy left Mundaha, chants of #SkizaWakenya and #AdudaOkwiri4KisaEast filled the air—signaling a wave of optimism and a growing belief that a new political force is steadily reshaping the Western region’s political destiny.
