The late Orange democratic Party leader Honorable Raila Odinga landed in Kenya on October 16, 2025. This was just a day after the late Odinga passed away while recovering from a condition that he was being treated at a local hospital.
Well, when Odinga remains of Odinga were at the Indian airport awaiting the airlifting to Kenya. It has a totally different Coffin to the one Kenyans saw at Kasarani during the viewing of the body. Well, Oburu Odinga has spoken about what happened.
Speaking during an interview with a local TV station. Oburu revealed that, before the body of the late brother arrived in Kenya, the plan was to take it to Lee Funeral Home for dressing and changing the Coffin before proceeding to Parliament for viewing.

But the moment the body Landed at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, things quickly changed. Supporters of the late Orange democratic Party leader refused to move out of the way and this forced people to Incharge of the program to make some changes.
One of the changes was to move the people who were to preserve the body of Raila to move to Kasarani. They then waited for the Coffin there. When the body arrived at Kasarani, there was a little commotion with teargas thrown. This was the time that the coffin was changed at Kasarani by the military and the team from Lee Funeral Home.
They quickly did that before allowing Kenyans to pay their last respect to their leader. A man many people praised and followed in masses.
