Speaking after leaving Karen Hospital, Nairobi. Rigathi Gachagua made allegations that shocked the country. He told Kenyans that some unnamed National intelligence service people went to Nyeri and tried to poison his food.
He responded by sending all of the officers guarding him away. In his allegation, also claimed that his room was taped while in Kisumu and his message was heard by a third party.
Kenyans sympathized with him after that declaration asking him to be more careful with how he conducted himself going forward. The second in command left the hospital without any guard leaving Kenyans asking questions.
