Tranzoia County Governor, His Excellency George Natembeya, has long positioned himself as a key political figure in the Western region, often seen as a leader whose input must be considered before major decisions are made.
Recent opinion polls suggested that Natembeya enjoys strong popularity, reportedly outshining even former Vice President Musalia Mudavadi and Senate Speaker Moses Wetangula.
However, Natembeya may need to rethink his strategy as 2027 approaches. Speaking in an exclusive interview with KTN Kenya, Musalia Mudavadi revealed that the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) plans to field a formidable candidate in Tranzoia County, one capable of defeating Natembeya “very early in the morning.” Mudavadi warned that this move will serve as a political lesson Natembeya will not forget.
