National Assembly Speaker Honorable Moses Masika Wetangula has broken his silence following persistent calls from Western Kenya leaders to shed light on his final interactions with the late Lugari Member of Parliament, Honorable Cyrus Jirongo.
Speaking at Jirongo’s home in Lugari, Wetangula recounted the events leading up to the tragic death of the former legislator.
According to the Speaker, Jirongo reached out to him on December 9, 2025, while Wetangula was in Uganda attending the National Assembly sports games.
“He called me while I was away. When I returned to Kenya, I called him back, and we arranged to meet,” Wetangula explained.
