President William Ruto has outlined his next political and governance strategy ahead of the 2027 General Election following Kenya Kwanza’s victories in the Malava and Mbeere North by-elections.
Speaking after the official announcement of results, the Head of State said the wins signal growing national confidence in his administration and mark a turning point in his efforts to build what he describes as a “broad-based, inclusive government.”
The by-elections, which were closely watched due to their political significance, saw Kenya Kwanza candidates triumph over opponents backed by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and the United Opposition coalition.
President Ruto welcomed the results, saying they reflected the public’s desire for stability, development, and collaboration among Kenya’s major political actors.
In a recorded address released online, the President emphasized that the next phase of his administration would focus on expanding political partnerships ahead of 2027.

A broad-based government is the direction that will move this country forward,” he said.
