According to Gachagua, during committee meetings, the president planted his people in the cabinet who used to send him information about the proceedings of the meetings. He could call Gachagua or Musalia Mudavadi to force his way.
However, Gachagua decided to leave behind his phones every time he chaired the committee meetings. By doing so, the president could not get to him of Justin Muturi and therefore, he was unable to influence the outcome of the meetings and this angered him so much.
Gachagua’s revelation has elicited mixed reactions online with Kenyans calling out him for leaking information about what happened during critical decision making at the State House. Others are praising him for being bold by exposing the rote within the Kenya Kwanza administration.
