Kasipul member of Parliament Honorable Ong’ondo Were was killed on April 30, 2024 at around 7:30 PM. He was assassinated just a few minutes after leaving the National assembly, a building where he spent most of his day there discharging his duties through debates.
According to those who spoke, the legislator left the National Assembly at around 7PM before being gunned down thirty minutes later. It is reported that the assailants trailed him to mortuary roundabout before firing bullets killing him and sparing his driver and bodyguards.
Well, just after his death, a video of his giving directions of what should happen when he dies has emerged.

According to the video, he instructed Orange democratic Party officials to wrap his coffin in an ODM party flag Before laying him to rest. He also asked people to attend his funeral in large numbers just like the event he was attending.
” When I die, I want my coffin to be wrapped in ODM party colors. And I also want people to come to my funeral in large numbers. ” Said the late Honorable Were.
His message left to many people asking questions on whather he was preparing his people for the departure.
Well, several leaders have sent their condolences to the family and people of Kasipul. May the soul of the departed member of Parliament rest in peace.
