The political temperatures in Mbeere North are very high. Two senior politicians from Mount Kenya region have camped in Mbeere North to squire it out politically.
Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and the current Deputy President professor Kithure Kindiki are fighting for the control of the vote-rich region.
If Gachagua wins, he will have the bragging rights for the rest of the year. The win will also solidify his influence in the region.
Well, in a video seen by us. Cabinet Secretary Ruku has come out with allegations targeting former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

According to Ruku, Gachagua is buying the voters cards from Mbeere North residents. He is targeting the strongholds of the United Democratic party with an intention of weakening Wamudhende chances of winning by election.
Ruku has asked the members of the public to make sure that they report anyone from the opposition who goes to their homes requesting to purchase the identification Cards. He promised them to send Police officers to arrest anyone involved in such activities.
