Speaking from China in a video widely shared online, comedian come Content creator ‘ Mulamwa’ has claimed that someone swapped his line, withdrew all his money and later opened a WhatsApp channel using his number and continued soliciting money from his friends.
Oyando has promised to take legal action against safaricom claiming that, for one to swap a line or register one. He must present himself physically with the original identification card to the safaricom outlets. So, it was impossible for him to register a line and yet he is in China.
Mulamwa Statement.
Guys come here. I want to say something about safaricom in Kenya. I’m here in China but someone has swapped my number. Registered it again, withdrew my money and he is now conning people on WhatsApp claiming to be me. I want to ask Kenyans to be vigilant not to fall for that.
However, I don’t understand how that person managed to register the line without using My original identification card. The card that I have here with me in China. I will be taking legal action against the company once I land back home. This must be discussed intensively.” Said mulamwa.
