The Kenyan Deputy Inspector general of Police Eliud Lagat is a man under siege. Since the announcement of the death of blogger Albert Ojwang, his name has been trending with Kenyans calling for his resignation.
Despite inspector general of Police Douglas Kanja suspending officers who were on duty during the death of blogger Albert Ojwang, Kenyans are not satisfied with the outcome. Now, the United Democratic party majority leader has called for the removal of Lagat from office.

Speaking at the Senate chambers during the grilling of inspector general of Police and cabinet secretary of internal security. Aron Cheruiyot who is the Senate majority leader has called on Eliud Lagat to step aside and allow investigation to continue.
According to Aron, Kenyans are currently not happy with him being in that position as he was mentioned in the whole thing that led to the death of blogger Albert Ojwang. He was the complainant according to the presser made by the inspector general of Police.
It was reported that Albert Ojwang was picked from his home for allegedly defaming Eliud Lagat.
