President William Ruto visited Kenyan Police troops in Haiti while on his way to New York City for UNGA summit. While in Haiti, he prayed for them and encouraged them to continue with the good work they are doing there.
However, something interesting came up from officers. It seems like they have been waiting for a long time to ask the question. One courageous officer seized the opportunity and possed it to Ruto.
The police officer asked on behalf of his colleagues about the possible compensation they will get in case something Happens. The mission is a tough one and they needed to know if there is arrangements to cover such outcomes.
“Mr. President thank you for coming. We really appreciate your presence here and your prayers has really motivated us. I just want to ask about compensation arrangements just in case something happens here. We have not been told anything at all” said the officer.
In his response. President William Ruto stated they have insurance at home at National Police service and incase something happens, it will be handled there. His response has elicited mixed reactions among Kenyans. Watch the video below.
