Bondo, Siaya County – The family of the late Orange Democratic Party (ODM) leader, Honorable Raila Odinga, is slowly coming to terms with life after his passing.
This Christmas, December 25, 2025, marks the first festive season without the veteran politician, who passed away two months ago while receiving treatment in India.
Unlike last year, when the Odinga family gathered at their Bondo residence to pray and share meals with neighbors, this year’s celebrations took a more solemn turn.

According to photos shared online, the family chose to spend the day at Raila Odinga’s final resting place at the Kang’o Kajaramogi Museum in Bondo, Siaya County. The gathering, though tinged with grief, was also a celebration of the life and legacy of the political icon.
Among those who paid tribute were prominent leaders including Opiyo Wandai, Ruth Odinga, Atandi, and Vihiga County Senator Osotsi. They were warmly received by Mama Ida Odinga and Raila’s children, who hosted the gathering with a mix of reverence and quiet reflection.
