Sakaja Fires Back At Gachagwa After Nairobi Rally, Reveals What Is Really Happening

Today on Friday, September 20, 2024. Deputy President of the republic of Kenya Rigathi Gachagwa and his team held a rally in Nairobi. Flanked by his allies, the second in command fired warnings at Nairobi County governor over Wakulima market.

Gachagwa claimed that moving the traders was a bid idea and could affect the people of Mount Kenya who are majority. He lamented how they were not harassed during election but now they are being mishandled.

“This are our people and I must speak for them. They can’t be harassed while I’m here and as a leader, I have Come to listen to them. They are now saying you’re many but during voting tike, they never complained.” Said Gachagwa.

Well, Nairobi County Governor has responded to the latter and it seems like he is not taking any prisoner. He has set the record straight on what is happening at Wakulima market in Nairobi.

Sakaja’s Sentiments.

Nairobi county governor has stated the facts on Wakulima market. According to him, he held a meeting with market leaders and they are fully in support of moving some of the products to Kangundo and not everyone as alleged.

Secondly, his intentions are for the Safety of the people of Nairobi, especially traders. In his latter, he cited Londiani accident that claimed several lives.

They died after a rammed into them who were selling their products on the roadside. Sakaja stated he is not ready to witness such deaths in Nairobi due to congestion at the market place.

Sakaja On Politics.

The firebrand governor has asked Gachagwa to stop playing tribal politics in Nairobi. Especially asking him to respect the position he is holding which is supposed to unite Kenyans. This was a response to Deputy President using local language while addressing traders.
