President William Ruto and his entourage are Currently in New York City. This is coming just after he visited Kenyan troops in Haiti who are on a peace keeping mission. In a video shared online by his communication team, the head of state is seen singing and praying with Police officers at the Haitian airport.
The head of State is supposed to be part of Key speakers at UNGA79 summit in New York. However, youths in Kenya have taken to social media to do unthinkable.
According to the hashtags trending currently, youths are asking officials not to grant President Ruto a chance to speak. They are citing recent activities in Kenya where youths were killed by police officers during protests.
Ban Ruto Hashtag.
Youths online have been sharing pictures of those who were killed blaming Police officers for using excessive force. President William Ruto has been mentioned as one commander in chief who even allowed military officers on the streets.
Bodies of youths were scuttered on streets with blood around the Parliament building. Some were Picked up in queries dead like Densel Omondi. It is not really clear who killed him which is still a puzzle today.
Broad Based Government.
President William Ruto dissolved his cabinet and reappointed people from Orange Democratic party. He picked the best brains from Orange democratic Party to help him run the government and stabilize protests.
Well, it worked well for him. Youths relaxed, stopped the protests for now. Although some critics are claiming it was just pause and it might blow out soon.

“The president should not be allowed to address those people in new York. He should first tell us where our youths who were abducted are. It is sad for their families.” Said Alex.
” It is sad that things went back to normal even after those who were asking for accountability were Killed. It is sad, really sad for us” posted Ann.
