For the better part of yesterday October 12, 2024. Kenyans were worried after information came out of the cancellation of a major event by President Ruto. According to those close to the head of State, he cancelled the event at the last minute.
Just few minutes after cancelling it, Gachagua revealed his intention to attend the event. His declaration made Kenyans feel he was the reason Ruto failed to attend. Well, Ruto has set the record straight why he failed to attend the event with Gachagua.

Speaking in Nairobi at AIC Kilimani Church. Ruto revealed that he failed to attend Embu function because he was already engaged somewhere else. He went on to clarify that he did not cancel the function because of political reasons contrary to what people were saying.
“I cancelled the function because by the time they invited me, I was already invited somewhere else and I did not want to fail those who had invited me early. It was all about my diary and everything to do with it. We will arrange next time for the same.” Said Ruto.
Well, the head of State went on to ask Kenyans to continue praying for him as he makes changes that will benefit them. He vowed to continue with the new policies until things are better going forward.
