However, Kenyans flocked to his social media platforms clarifying that they were still paying the charges despite the President making it clear that the money was waived.
Well, today on October 31, 2025. The interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has issued a gazette notice enforcing the presidential declarations.
According to the notice, all Kenyans are now going to get the crucial documents free of charge. This is good news to Kenyans who have been struggling to get 1000 shillings for the identification cards replacement.
