Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has announced the death of Mr. John Muhia Njoroge, the father of Kipipiri Member of Parliament Hon. Wanjiku Muhia, describing him as a vibrant and determined leader who played a key role in uniting and uplifting his community.
In a message shared on his social media platforms, Gachagua said he was deeply saddened by the passing of Mr. Njoroge, noting that the late patriarch lived a courageous life marked by resilience and selfless service.
He revealed that Mr. Njoroge had bravely battled kidney failure for 12 years, a journey that, according to him, demonstrated exceptional strength and faith.

Gachagua hailed the late Njoroge as a family man and a community champion whose values and dedication are reflected in the leadership of his daughter, Hon. Wanjiku Muhia, and her siblings.
He noted that the people of Kipipiri had lost not only an elder but also a unifying figure who believed in economic progress and communal harmony.
“My family and I send our deepest sympathies to the family of Mr. Njoroge Muhia and the people of Kipipiri,” Gachagua said, praying for peace, strength, and comfort for the bereaved family during the difficult period.
He concluded by praying for eternal rest for the late Njoroge, asking God to grant him perpetual peace and light.
