Revealed: What Ruto Will Do For Raila On 27th August 2024

Orange Democratic party leader Honerable Raila Odinga seems to be making strong plans for his African Union Candidature. He has toned down on national politics for weeks now focusing on working with President William Ruto. Odinga joined hands with Ruto in forming broad based government after intensive protests from youths who were demanding accountability.

YOUTHS PROTESTS.

Generation Z youths forced President William Ruto to dissolve his cabinet after storming Parliament over finance bill 2024. Several of them were killed by bullets from police officers who were determined to protect government promises.

Despite the Bill being dropped. Youths continued with their protests twice a week. They even threatened to storm Jomo Kenyatta International airport. Something that forced the President to station soldiers in strategic positions around the airport to stop the youths.

Well, in what was seen as a way of cooling the temperatures. President William Ruto appointed key figures from opposition to his cabinet. Something that was heavily rejected by the youths.

He also reappointed some of his allies back to his cabinet sparking mixed reactions from across the country. His decision was heavily backed by Odinga. Odinga supported him, claiming that it was the only way of saving the country from anarchy.

In what has been seen as scratch my back I scratch yours. President William Ruto has released his government officials to campaign for Odinga and make sure he clinches the seat.

Speaking to the member of the press on Wednesday, August 21. Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has announced that. On August 27th, President William Ruto will officially

“Next week, on the 27th of August, 2024, His Excellency President Ruto will formally launch the candidacy of the Kenyan candidate. ” Said Musalia Mudavadi.

This will mark a the beginning of a vigorous campaign process for Odinga and President William Ruto. They will have to convince over 54 States in Africa to vote for Odinga.
