Former Presidential Candidate Mwalimu Mohamed Dida has been silent since November 2022 raising questions. The vocal politician has been missing in action in public events that are of national importance.
Well, his missing in action has been answered. He has arrested and sentenced to seven years in prison for allegedly breaking the law. He messed up in the state of Illinois, United States of America.
According to a report by Nation Africa, the former presidential candidate was arrested for harassing and intimidating a lady. He is currently being held at Big muddy correctional facility in state of Illinois.
Kenyans Reaction.
A section of Kenyans have taken to social media to react to the arrest of Dida with emotions. Some are asking the government to intervene and bring him home.
” The government should work with United States officials and help our brother back home. Seven years is a very long time and he should be brought home” posted John.
” Dida thought America is Kenya where he can move around harassing ladies. Americans are different and the rule of law is the order of the day” said Abraham.
