For close to three months now, the Orange Democratic party and united democratic Party have been working together under a broad based government. They formed the government of national unity after widely witnessed protests that almost led to anarchy. The Parliament was invaded by angry youths who were calling for accountability and removal of President William Ruto.
Well, the unity of ODM and UDA has been witnessed also in the impeachment of Rigathi Gachagua. Those allied to Raila Odinga played a critical role in voting that saw Gachagua thrown out. But will this partnership continue beyond the 2027 general election? ODM member of Parliament has issued a controversial statement on the same.

According to Homabay Town member of Parliament Kaluma, President William Ruto will win the 2027 general election only if Raila Odinga supports him, or does not run as the head of State in that election. There has been discussion on whether the ODM Party will support President William Ruto. Kenyans are waiting to see what will happen going forward.
“President @WilliamsRuto will be re-elected I. 2027, unless Baba runs or opposes him. We shouldn’t allow anarchists to infiltrate good causes in the country.
The good Gen Z action was infiltrated by anarchists towards the end. This must be investigated and the culprits prosecuted.” Wrote Faluma.
