The former Law society of Kenya President Nelson Havi has taken to social media to criticize Martha Koome over the request to Ruto.
Speaking at supreme court grounds, Koome asked President William Ruto to allocate resources to the court for the establishment of a new building for the highest court in Kenya.
Havi who is a long time legal analyst and advocate of the High Court has claimed that the supreme court judges only sits during the presidential election petition. In other cases, they do it by filing submissions or online hence it is not important to have a new building for the same court.
“Save for a petition challenging the election of President, the Supreme Court conducts its hearings by written submissions and online. What is the proprietary of constructing a Courthouse for 7 Judges who never sit physically? C J Martha Koome is becoming incorrigible day by day.” Posted Havi.
