Kiharu Member of Parliament Honorable Ndindi Nyoro has sparked widespread discussion across the country after graduating with a second master’s degree in less than a month.
The former Budget and Appropriations Committee Chairperson graduated on Friday from Kenyatta University with a Master of Economics (Policy and Management), just days after earning a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Nairobi.
The rare academic feat has drawn admiration from supporters and colleagues, many of whom have praised the youthful legislator for his commitment to education despite his demanding political schedule.
Nyoro, who has played a key role in shaping economic policy debates in Parliament, took to his official social media platforms to reflect on the milestone.

In his statement, the MP expressed gratitude for the achievement, noting that the intense period of pursuing two master’s degrees almost concurrently was driven by a desire to sharpen his decision-making skills on economic matters.
He emphasized that the programs were not merely academic exercises, but practical learning experiences aimed at enhancing his understanding of policy, management, and the broader economy.
“It has been an intense period pursuing two Masters Degrees almost concurrently and in different institutions. The decision was motivated by the need to refine decision making especially on matters that affect the Economy,” Nyoro stated.
Beyond the academic rigor, the legislator highlighted the value of interactions with classmates, lecturers, and supervisors, describing them as equally important learning moments. He also congratulated fellow graduates from Kenyatta University and other institutions that held graduation ceremonies in recent days.
Nyoro’s achievement has reignited conversations about lifelong learning among leaders, with many Kenyans viewing his journey as an example of balancing public service and personal development.
As debates continue about leadership and competence, the MP’s message remained clear: education is a critical tool for national development.
“We are African and Africa is our business,” he concluded, underscoring his belief in homegrown solutions for economic growth.
