Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi is facing criticism from a section of Kenyans after photos of his visit to villagers in Vihiga County surfaced online.
The veteran politician, who has spent nearly four decades in public service, was seen accompanied by his allies and security detail as he entered homes with visibly muddy floors and modest living conditions.
The images have sparked a heated debate on social media, with many questioning why residents in his constituency continue to live in such conditions despite his long tenure in government.

Among those expressing concern is Trans-Nzoia County Governor George Natembeya, who shared the photos online and urged Musalia to take tangible steps to empower his neighbors.

Supporters of the Prime Cabinet Secretary, however, argue that the visit was meant to celebrate and connect with the villagers, who have been steadfast supporters throughout his political journey. They insist the photos capture a moment of solidarity rather than neglect.
As of now, Musalia Mudavadi has not issued any official statement addressing the criticism. The incident has reignited discussions about the responsibilities of long-serving leaders in uplifting the communities they represent.
