Former Cabinet Secretary and Presidential Economic Advisor Moses Kuria has finally responded to why the United opposition under the guidance of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua lost the Mbeere North by-election.
This is just a day after Gachagua claimed that the government used State machinery to rig an election in Mbeere North leaving Kenyans asking more questions on the IEBC independence.
Well, according to Moses Kuria, DCP party made the mistake of releasing Mbui as the party’s preferred candidate and supported Karish. Kuria believes that if DCP party candidate was Mbui, we would be singing a different song in the Mbeere North by-election.
Manchester United (DCP) loses a star player Daniel Mbui to Sheffield Wefnesday (CCK). Daniel scores a consolation goal in a 7-1 thrashing of Sheffield Wednesday by Arsenal (UDA). Manchester United now accuses Daniel and Sheffield on Wednesday of betrayal. Does this even make sense?” Posted Moses Kuria.
Well, on his side, former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is still insisting that the people of Mbeere North voted for Karish in large numbers but their will was changed by the government together with the independent electoral commission officials who allowed them.
