Emotions ran high on Friday at the historic home of the late Jaramogi Oginga Odinga in Bondo, Siaya County, as Mama Ida Odinga broke down upon receiving the body of Beryl Odinga, the late sister to former ODM party leader Raila Odinga.
The sombre atmosphere mirrored the grief that has engulfed the Odinga family following yet another devastating loss, barely months after the burial of Raila Odinga.
In a deeply emotional moment captured on video, Mama Ida arrived at the Kang’o Kajaramogi compound accompanied by close family members, political leaders and friends who struggled to comfort her.
Overwhelmed with sorrow, she cried uncontrollably as the casket bearing Beryl’s remains was ushered into the homestead.
