After a successful Nyanza region tour, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagwa headed back to Mount Kenya region. He joined other congregants in Mount Kenya to nourish his religious beliefs. He was flanked by former Meru County Governor Kiraitu Murungi and other dignitaries.
Well, Gachagwa decided to do some little politics after being invited to greet those who had attended the service. In his remarks, he told Kiraitu Murungi why he was defeated by Kawira Mwangaza. Insisting that Meru people liked him but his association with Raila Odinga failed him terribly.
” My old friend here Kiraitu Murungi. A very good person who was going to win Meru seat. His only problem was association with Raila Odinga who was rejected by people that time. We were told he was a evil and we agreed but now he is good” said Gachagwa.
Gachagwa made it clear that Nyanza region tour taught him a lesson. Mount Kenya region were told Raila was bad but after the tour, he has claimed to have learnt a lesson. He was welcomed well by Nyanza people who turned out in large Numbers to listen to them.
