
For months, Kenyans have been calling for the removal of President William Ruto from office. Youths, calling themselves GenZs took to the streets in 2024 surprising many people after storming the office demanding accountability.
During that time, many of them lost their lives leading to numerous subsequent protests. Nairobi Central business district was the epicenter of all Protests that led to the shootings and injuries that now President William Ruto formed a committee to compensate those affected.
Well, on that point, Kenyans have been told the only five ways that the President of the republic of Kenya can be removed from office.
Speaking in Siaya, Siaya County Senator Oburu Odinga left Kenyans in stitches after vowing to stand with Ruto beyond the 2027 general election.
He continued by claiming that, going forward, Ruto Must Go slogans will deem and those shouting should understand the only ways to remove the head of state from office is;

Through Ballot.
Oburu stated that, those asking for the removal of the President should wait till 2027 and vote him out if they can.
If the President Dies.
This will lead to an election after 90 days. In this case, the Deputy President will hold the office until the election is done and the new President is elected.
If the President has health Issues ( Mentally Unstable)
This will warrant the removal of the President from office on health groups. According to the constitution of Kenya, the qualified medical doctors confirm that the President is mentally unstable. He or she will be removed from the office on that ground.
Through Impeachment.
The National Assembly and the Senate can impeach the President of the republic of Kenya on different grounds including abuse of office, corruption etc.
