The President for her republic of Kenya His Excellency William Ruto hosted Kenyan athletic delegation at State House, Nairobi Kenya. The event was held to celebrate the athletes for exceptional performance at the just concluded world championship.
At the event in Tokyo, Kenya only managed one gold medal from men who graced the championship. The gold was won by Emmanuel Wanyonyi who stormed to victory in the 800M race.
Well, Kenyans have been told how the government helped Wanyonyi clinch the gold medal.

According to 1500 medalist winner Faith Kipyegon. The ambassador of Kenya to Tokyo Japan took his time out of his way to make sure that Wanyonyi was comfortable. He allegedly made sure that he looked for Ugali, a delicacy that gave Wanyonyi energy to Storm to victory at the championship.
Let me take this opportunity to say a big thank you to our ambassador in Tokyo, he did an amazing job to look for ugali for Wanyonyi. I don’t think we would have gotten a men’s gold medal if it wasn’t for that Ugali – Faith Kipyegon” said Faith Kipyegon.
This has been hailed as the best moment for the team and the proof of how committed the government of the day is focused on making sure that the athletic team wins.
Speaking at State House Nairobi, President William Ruto promised to make sure that all the sportsmen and Women are well taken care of with good packages when they go out there to fight for the country.
