“Release our people.” This is currently the phrase used in Nairobi by protestors. Youths have stormed Nairobi, Kenyan capital city with a message to President William Ruto. They are asking him to put to an end the abductions that are currently ongoing.
Security operatives have been accused of abducting, torturing and eventually killing those criticizing the government of the Day.
Well, political activist Morara Kebaso and his team were stopped in Nairobi CBD by Police officers. The car which is branded Inject party symbol was stooped and those inside arrested. The vehicle and all occupants were taken to Nairobi Police central station.
Police are still firing teargas at the protesters. Busia County senator Okiya Omutata was also arrested a few minutes ago together with other people who had chained them together in an attempt to stop police officers from dispersing them.
” We are not going to leave these streets until our Youths are released from detentions. They were picked by rouge regime officers who are not comfortable with being told the truth. We know who is abducting Kenyans despite then denying in public. We are not going to forget what they are doing to our country and families. ” Said one Protester.
