It seems like Kenyans are not taking the ” Kusalimiwa” program lightly. Since June when protests erupted across the country because of Finance Bill 2024.
Things are not the same anymore and Kenyans are taking their time to send messages directly to their leaders when offended.
Well, one United Democratic Party Senator has sent out a distress call over what Kenyans are allegedly doing to him online.
Nandi county Senator Samson Cherargei has lamented how Kenyans have invaded his privacy since laughing his bill. According to him, people are sending messages to him warning him to drop the bill. He has alleged that in just few days, he has received over 10, 000 messages and endless calls.

Cherargei was seeking to add two years to the current elective political term limits. According to him, it is important to have a 7 years term so that leaders can work better for the people of Kenya.
“Leaders should be given more time to work. Implementing more projects requires time. Five years is not enough for everyone.” Said Cherargei.
