Gov’t Explains Why Hyenas Are Eating People In Kiambu County, Give Directives

If you have a talent of laughing like Hyena at night. Juja town, Kiambu County is not a place for you to visit now. The locals are not entataining anything that looks like hyena, laughs like hyena or even walks like hyena at night.

On August 4, 2024. A stray hyena killed a five year old child sparking an angry reaction from the locals who have vowed to deal with wild animals accordingly. According to them, the government has failed to counter the stary hyenas hence allowing them to kill.

Well, it seems like the government has finally listened to the. They have issued a statement on what is making the animals to kill human being in Kiambu County.

According to Kenya Wild life Service. The Hyenas are suffering from rabies outbreak which is forcing them to attack human beings.

The government has put in place measures that will prevent people form being attacked. They are now closing all the quarry sites that has been playing part as a hideout of the animals.

The government has also asked Juja residents not to take law into their hands and kill Hyenas bit rather call then for support. Will those measures help to stop the attacks?
