Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is a Man on a mission, a mission to ‘reclaim’ the country Kenya from a person he vigorously campaigned for in the 2022 general election. In 2022, Gachagua and President William Ruto toured Mount Kenya region extensively with an aim of making sure that Raila Odinga was sent home to Bondo and they form the government.
However, in a dramatic change of events, Raila Odinga is now in government and Gachagua was thrown out. His place was taken by Kithure Kindiki who is now the Deputy President of the republic of Kenya.

Well, today on June 20, 2025. Gachagua made it clear who is the kingpin in Mount Kenya region. Speaking at Chuka stage, Tharaka Nithi County. Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua asked Kindiki not to be used by President William Ruto to frustrate his people.
According to Gachagua, it was unfortunate to witness people in other regions receive good equipment for empowerment while Mount Kenya region is getting beans. He claimed that the people of Mount Kenya region will not be used as pawns in the political arena Ahead of the 2027 general election.
He claimed that he is going to unite with other like-minded people who will make decisions that will propel the country to greatness.
