Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has finally opened up after a dramatic encounter at the church in Embu County.
On November 23, 2025, Gachagua and his team attended a church service where a man targeted him with what he termed a knife.
From the video shared by Itumbi on his Facebook page, people are seen tacking the person with kicks and blows leaving Kenyans talking.
Speaking during a rally in Mbeere North, Gachagua claimed that the government sent someone with a knife to attack him. Fortunately the people stood firm and repelled the attack.
Taking to his social media platforms, Denis Itumbi, a close ally of President William Ruto claimed that it was Gachagua who organized goons to attack a young man whose only mistake was going to church to pray.
He dismissed Gachagua’s allegations insisting that the opposition team is violent but the people of Embu are going to send a clear message to them by voting in Wamudhende and the member of Parliament on November 27, 2025.
