Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is doing everything in making sure that the United opposition candidate Honorable Karish wins the Parliamentary by election in Mbeere North.
He has camped there with an intention of swaying the minds of voters towards not voting for the United Democratic party. A party that he supported vigorously in the 2022 general election.
Well, despite camping in Mbeere North and doing intensive Campaigns. Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has received bad news from the area.

According to the latest report done by Mizani Africa, Honorable Karish who is the opposition team candidate in Mbeere North by-election is trailing the Kenya Kwanza candidate Wamudhende with about 2 percent. He is expected to work extra hard if he wants to stay afloat and possibly win the by-election.
The Honorable Leonard Wamudhende of the United democratic Party has 44.6 percent
The Honorable Newton Karish of the DP party under the united opposition has about 42.4 percent of the Total Votes.
Honorable Duncan Mbui of chama Cha KAZI is trailing with about 5.7 percent and finally the undecided votes has about 7.3 percent of the Total expected votes.
