Former interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i has sent a message to President William Ruto while in Kisii County ahead of the planned by-election.
According to him, it is unfortunate that some people are moving around buying votes. They are planning to force people not to vote for the united opposition candidate with promises of a good life.
Flanked with Martha Karua, Boni Khalwale, and Tranzoia County governor George Natembeya. Matiang’i called on the Gusii Nation not to be lured with money in the coming by election. He promised to fulfill their wishes once the United opposition takes over office in the 2027 general election.
Some people are moving around here promising heaven. They should know that people are watching. We are all watching. We will not allow people to buy votes in this region. People must start being serious. ” Said Matiang’i
