The battle of brains. Things are getting hot at Milimani law courts between a three person bench and a team of lawyers representing Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
In his first remarks, Senior Counsel Paul Mwite claimed they are appearing in protests and not with clear instructions on what was going to Happen there. He alleged that the court did not clearly indicate the files it is supposed to rule on in the day.
A group of lawyers representing Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua have taken issues with the presiding bench. According to the video seen from the courts, they are questioning the validity of the bench.
As per their submission, the bench was constituted by deputy Chief Justice which is against the law. The only person mandated to constitute a bench is Chief Justice.
Well, Judge Ogolla has adjourned the case and has asked the lawyers from the Gachagua side to file an application seeking rescue of the bench. Kenyans are waiting to see what will happen going forward.
