The Deputy President of the republic of Kenya has decided to fight his Impeachment to the last minute. The motion on his removal was tabled few days ago putting him in a tight spot just two years after general election. From what is happening, it seems like their relationship is totally destroyed.
According to sources close to Gachagua. His Lawyers have moved to court to stop his Impeachment. They are asking the court to stop public participation that is scheduled tomorrow Friday, October 4.
In his petition. The second in command has alleged that National Assembly speaker Moses Wetangula is biased in his conduct. The Deputy speaker has not spared in the petition. Gladys Shollei had been accused of taking sides on the impeachment even before evidence is tabled.
The ouster of Rigathi Gachagua has elicited mixed reactions online among Kenyans. Asection of residents are asking the President to solve issues with his Deputy and avoid the current political tension. Some are however in agreement with Gachagua Impeachment claiming he Publicly disrespected the head of State.
