On September 29, 2024. NTV Kenya reported about Rigathi Gachagua demanding 8 billon Kenya shillings from Ruto in order to walk away from his position. When Ruto declined his request, he allegedly banged the table in rage leaving those present shocked.
Well, speaking to members of the press from central region, Gachagua responses to the allegations. He claimed that he never requested for that payment from the head of State.
“I never requested for such kind of money. It was just a creation of the media and other people who knows what they want. For the record, I have not asked for any money and I’m not going to resign at all. Kenyans elected me and I’m only interested in that, serving them to my capacity” said Gachagua.
