DCP Deputy Party Leader, Senator Cleophas Wakhungu Malalah, on Friday evening joined family and close friends of former Malava Constituency by-election candidate, Wakili Edgar Busiega Mwanga, to mourn the passing of his father, Mzee Dan Burudi Mwanga.
Malalah, who took time off his engagements to stand with the family, expressed deep sympathy for Busiega and praised the late Mzee Mwanga as a respected elder whose influence was felt across the community.
The senator noted that moments of grief call for unity and compassion, urging leaders and citizens alike to support families experiencing loss.

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall inherit God’s Kingdom,” Malalah said, echoing words of comfort shared during the gathering.
He encouraged Busiega to remain strong during the difficult period, assuring him of the party’s and community’s unwavering support.
Malalah added that the hope of eternal reunion offers solace to those left behind.
“On Jesus’s second coming, we shall be united with Mzee on the shores far yonder,” he said.
Mzee Dan Burudi Mwanga’s passing is being deeply felt in Malava, where he was widely regarded as a father figure and community pillar. Funeral arrangements are underway.
