The Cleo Malalah Super Cup has grown to become one of the most followed community sports events in the country over the past seven years, drawing thousands of spectators from across the Western region and beyond. This year, excitement has surged after Malalah announced the inclusion of a new sporting category—rugby.
According to Malalah, the decision to introduce rugby to the tournament was driven by the region’s impressive talent and long-standing passion for the sport.

Teams from the four Western region counties—Bungoma, Vihiga, Busia, and Trans Nzoia—have been invited to register for the tournament. The new structure now allows participants to compete in both football and rugby categories, expanding opportunities for youth engagement and talent development.
