Orange democratic Party held its first official meeting at Chungwa house. The first meeting post Raila Odinga leadership. In the meeting, they came up with resolutions that will be followed for the next 15 months before the 2027.
Since the demise of Raila Odinga. Many Kenyans have been asking about the fate of the party on broad based government now that the initiator passed.

The Orange democratic Party Secretary general Senator Edwin Sifuna made it clear that the party has passed a resolution, it is going to support President William Ruto up to 2027. After that, they will be chatting a way forward on their own.
This declaration has left those allied to Kenya Kwanza administration in a punic mode. They will have to work out a plan that will guarantee then a portion of Luo Nyanza votes and other ODM party Strongholds just in case the party decides to bolt out of the broad based government.
We have made the following resolutions. The Orange democratic Party will continue being in a broad based government until 2027. After that, we will chat our way forward with the people that believe in our manifesto and policies as Crafted by our late party leader Honorable Raila Odinga.” Said Sifuna.
