Kericho County governor His Excellency Eric Mutai survived an impeachment trial at the Senate on the voting technicalities.
According to the senators who voted in favour of not impeaching him, they agreed that, the process used in impeaching him at the county assembly was not right and legally not authenticated.
Senators asked members of the county assembly in Kericho to go back to the drawing board and do the right thing. Well, it seems like things are turning out for the worst for Governor Mutai.
In a video seen by us, the members of the Kericho County assembly have vowed to impeach him again. According to them, they are going to make sure that over 33 members vote in the favour of the motion and there will be no mistakes this time round.

They are not waiting for a long time to do that. They will be converging to debate on the impeachment motion again as soon as they arrive back to the chambers from the recess next week.
” We want to tell the governor of Mutai something. We are going to impeach him again once we get back to the chambers next week. We will table the motion well and over 33 MCA’s are going to vote. He better make sure he is ready to leave.” Said one of the MCA who spoke to the media during the briefing.
This is a Big blow to the governor who promised to unite all the MCA’s and work with them for the betterment of the lives of Kericho residents.
